There are now 1400 miles on the 2014 Nissan Versa SV. Average miles per gallon is 31.2. There are approximately 298 miles remaining on the 6th tank of gasoline. The trip today was 5.9 miles.

10-24-13 trip to Kroger and back - 1394 miles on odometer and 31 avg mpg
Today I drove to Kroger and back for groceries. We got some bananas and a rotisserie chicken. The chicken was excellent. Total distance for this trip was 2 miles. Average speed was 30 mph. Average mpg was 31. Ending odometer was 1394. The car estimates that there are 302 miles remaining on the 6th tank of gasoline.

Total Gas purchased $145.94 - driven 1392 miles - avg mpg less than 30 overall as of 10/24/2013 for 2014 Nissan Versa SV
The first tank of gas was put in by the dealership. I don't know how many gallons it was or what it cost. The first time I recorded the estimated miles remaining on the tank it estimated 207 miles remaining on the first tank, as of 7/8/2013.
So far, I have purchased 46.526 gallons of gas. The average cost per gallon was $3.131 before you factor in the free gas from the dealer. I have driven 1392 miles. Total cost of fuel so far that I have personally paid is $145.94.
Total gallons of gas so far for 6 tanks. I am going to assume that the dealer filled up the 10.8 gallon tank completely at delivery. Adding the gallons of gasoline that I bought to 10.8 is 57.326. Since I have driven 1392 miles, the total average miles per gallon is only 24.282.
However, the car currently estimates that I can drive 316 more miles on the gas in the 6th tank. If we add the 316 to the 1392 miles driven, we get 1708. 1708/57.326 = 29.795 avg mpg. Most of my driving has been at 30-40 miles per hour, so this matches Nissan's website claim of 30 mpg city driving. I have never achieved the 40 mpg highway driving, but I have only driven short highway trips at 60-65 mph.

2014 Nissan Versa SV errands on 10-23-13
Drove to vet for our dog's annual exam and vaccinations. Drove to hospital for outpatient surgery and my fiance drove me back. On the way home we stopped at Braums for late lunch and for frozen yogurt. Then, we went to the pharmacy and then home. We went through a couple of school zones. Top speed was 50 mph. I was only a backseat driver about 3 times on the way home.
Total miles driven was 17.3.
Average miles per gallon was 31.2.
Miles remaining on the 6th tank of gasoline are estimated to be 316.
Ending odometer was 1392.

Errands in 2014 Nissan Versa SV on 10-22-13 - average miles per gallon up to 31.2
Today was my mother's birthday. I drove to see her and my father. On the way there, I stopped to purchase the 6th tank of gasoline and to get a fast food breakfast. The breakfast wasn't so great. I had a nice visit with my family. I had made my mother a lemon cake. Both my parents tried the cake. This was surprising, as my father typically would not eat desserts. On the way back, I stopped at WalMart for some supplies. I also got some shirts for my fiance. Next, I went to CVS to pick up my blood pressure medication.
Top speed was 65 miles per hour. Total miles for this trip were 63.1.
The average miles per gallon went up to 31.2. As far as I recall, this is my top average miles per gallon so far for this car. Excellent improvement!

Drove to the bank to make a deposit. Refund check. I went to an appointment at the urologist to discuss the surgery for my kidney stone. I also drove to the City Hall for early voting on the proposed amendments to the Texas constitution.

Ran errands in 2014 Nissan Versa SV on 10-20-13 - ending odometer 1292
Drove to the pet store to get bully sticks for our dog. Also drove to another pet store to get food for our dog. I also bought a car harness, but our dog was able to escape from it, so I am planning to return it. I bought the dog a new green squeaky toy, but he has been ignoring it. I went to Target and WalMart for a few supplies, and I stopped at Sonic for a snack. Then, I drove to the train station and rode the train to the fair. It was the last day of the fair.

Errands in 2014 Nissan Versa SV on 10-16-13
Drove to the dentist. Normally this would be half a mile from my home to the dentist. However, the road is under construction. The bridge is now a big hole in the ground, and the road is closed. So, I had to drive around the park to get to the dentist. Getting home was not as difficult, because the other road is now one way in the direction toward home. Top speed was 30 mph for this errand.
It was a cold rainy day. My tire indicator came on the night before. I drove to the Nissan dealership and they adjusted my tire pressure. Good service and only a 15 minute wait.
Also drove to the train station and took the train to the fair. That evening, I drove to the grocery store.
Total miles for these trips were 16.4.
Average miles per gallon were 30.5.
Ending odometer was 1260.

That afternoon, I drove to pick up Mediterranean take out. It wasn't as nice as it normally is. Going into that restaurant to pick up food is a difficult experience. There is never any parking, and the place is always so crowded. The people standing in line seem like they resent me when the staff handles my take out order before them, even though I go to the end of the line.
